My first experience of competence-based thinking was in the mid-80s, during my university years. In 1987 I was given responsibility for testing and assessing candidate officers for the Belgian armed forces. Since then my interest in selection, recruitment and assessment has evolved over the years.
Between 1989 and 2001 I developed a search business and created a highly skilled team within executive search.
In 2001 I founded Add Value together with my partner Stefaan De Clercq.
The search business is rapidly evolving. Assessments and Human Capital Consulting are now integrated in our working methods.
Today I can look back at 23 years of experience in the Executive Search industry.
My main areas of expertise are Human Resources, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Real Estate, Logistics, Aviation, FMCG, Maintenance and Quality, Assessment and Development Centres and HR consulting.
Recruitment methods, processes and the employment market are constantly evolving, so it is essential to understand changing business needs in order to create real added value for our candidates and clients.
I feel privileged when I interview people, together we can develop plans for the future not only based upon experience and competencies, but also on what really drives people. According to the “employer of choice” way of thinking, employees and employers are investors, they want to develop and create a great future together.
